Methodology
Methodology
This page explains how STD Booking gathers, writes, and maintains the information published on this site.
Where the data comes from
We maintain a structured directory of laboratory tests and U.S. communities. Test metadata — such as typical turnaround ranges and general preparation notes — is compiled from public provider references and standardized laboratory information. Community information is derived from public population datasets.
How content is written
Each test description is written in plain language and covers what the test is, what it measures, what the sample involves, and how results are generally reported. Descriptions are intentionally general; they do not tell you whether a test is right for you.
Accuracy and limits
Laboratory practice, preparation requirements, and pricing change. We aim to keep content accurate and avoid unsupported claims, and we direct readers to confirm details with the collection laboratory. This site is educational and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
