What this test is
This test measures your body's immune response to molds commonly found in cheeses like Brie, Camembert, Gorgonzola, and Roquefort. It detects specific IgE antibodies, which are proteins the body produces when exposed to allergens.
What it measures

What the test involves
A standard blood draw from a vein in your arm is required for this test. The collected blood sample is then sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Why it is often ordered
A clinician may order this test if you experience symptoms after consuming mold-ripened cheeses. It can help determine if mold in these foods is contributing to allergic reactions.
