What the test involves
A standard blood draw from a vein in your arm is required for this test. The collected blood sample is then sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Why it is often ordered
A clinician may order this test if you experience symptoms after consuming mold-ripened cheeses. It can help determine if mold in these foods is contributing to allergic reactions.
